It’s an Apple product designed and made for an Apple platform. |
They never made (and probably never will make) a PC version.

    Thanks.
Knowing the way my company acts on things we may be ready to do something by the time the version after this comes out.

Thanks every one. I think you answered all of my questions right now.
I’m sure there will be more as time goes by and we get closer to jumping.

Any idea when PremierPro Next is going to be release?

    Thanks Angelo.

You answered a lot of my questions.
I came to the Adobe Premiere Pro basics forum because these are beginner questions and thought I could get he answers here, but again thanks for the help.

If I have any more questions I’ll go to the main forum.
I may even put this in there too to see what other responses I get.

We use ExpressScribe when we transcribe and caption show.
I believe it is a free download.

You can control it with a foot pedal if you have one other wise I think it has keyboard control’s for FF, FR, and play.

But Dave suggestion would work too. 🙂

  • Unless I read the web sight wrong Sync-N-Link for FCP is $495.

That maybe expensive, but does not sound that outrageous considering the amount of time (and time is money) it takes someone to do it “manually”

Nick said that Sync-N-Link for FCP saved him 4hrs.
I’m not up on the pay scale for assistant editors in LA, but lets say it is $25/hr you save $100 per day.

If you are doing Dailies then the software would pay for itself in about 5 days.

I agree with Shane that people coming up in the industry today want everything handed to them and don’t feel they should have to do the “grunt” work.

Make sure you have your tracks assigned. Video is going to V1 or what ever video track you want it to go to.

  • I use Levelator all the time on 40 min shows and never have a problem with audio drifting.

You must have exported the audio at the wrong frame rate.
There are no setting that can be adjusted in Levelator as far as I’ve seen, so it must be something on the file going into Levelator.

I had this happen once and it is the Audio frame rate.
You said you have it at 48khz.

There are other choices in FCP and it is most likely one of the other choices.

I can’t say which one, but I;m 99% sure that is the issue.

Try recapturing at each of the different audio rates and one of them will work.
