Open your current FCP 4.5 and select about Final Cut Pro and you will see your serial number. If I recall, earlier versions of FCP left out the last 3 letters.

FCP 5.1.2 and BCC 3 work very well on my G4 Powerbook 1.25. I have not installed it on my G5 2.5. You do have to follow Boris instructions very carefully.

Buy yourself an external HD. Install Panther on that HD. Boot from that drive then install FCP. You should have Panther (10.3) if you upgraded your system to Tiger.

They all work VERY well with the right hardware. As far as storage, it depends on what format you want to edit. For Uncompressed HD, you will need a fibre channel RAID. For DVCPro HD, you can get away with FW800 or SATA HD’s. You did not specify which BM card you have.

The only diadvantage I can see is the PCIe card not being compatible with other SATA drives. GREAT PRICE from Provantage.
