The D95 was made specifically for ENG/EFP crews that were shooting DVCPro 50. The 93 was made so you could capture DVCPro 50 via FW into FCP.

Not much information available. I can’t even find price. The deck has been replaced with the AJ-SD93. The biggest difference between the two is the Firewire interface.
In order to capture from the AJ-D95, you will need a capture card. Blackmagic or AJA. You can control the deck via RS422 and capture via SDI with the option installed. The other input/output is composite video. I know the AJ-SD93 does have an option for component input/output. Not sure about the D95.

If your levels are between -20 and -12 in FCP, you will be fine. From your post, it seems you do not have experience in broadcast delivery. DVD is excepted as a delivery format of on extremely rare conditions. Check with them on the delivery format. DVCAM, Beta SP, Digi Beta, etc.
