turning sequence into individual clips
I am editing from a source file which I turn into about 8 smaller clips on the timeline once i’ve taken all that i need. I want each one of these clips to be an indidual movie when i export them out of final cut pro… how do i go about turning my sequence of 8 clips into 8 individual clips in final cut pro or in quicktime movie format?

Set in/out points on your timeline and export each segment as self-contained QuickTime Movie

Steve gave good advice.
Another way is to duplicate the timeline 8 times and just mark and delete the areas you don’t want on each one.
That way you’ll have an editied timeline for each separate “sub-clip” in FCP.

the way to do this is to:
make a new bin in the browser.
drag the clips from the timeline to the new bin.
select the clips, or the bin,
and file>batch export.export as quicktime movie
use item settings
make self contained,
use in to outnick
