I run my Beta SP deck through a Decklink SP. Reference is not needed. Same goes for AJA IOLA.

Are you using a capture card? How is your deck hooked up?

You have asked a lot of questions recently regarding rendering, quality and system performance. The time it has taken you to post to this forum, you could have opened up your help file under FCP and find all your answers there.

Sorry to post another Read the Manual answer.

Your timeline will need to be completely rendered at full quality for export.

FCP will rewrite your original render files when you re render. No need to worry about losing image quality.

What are you trying to do? Are all of your latest posts related to the video footage you have ripped from the DVD?

Based on your system specs and your hard drive speed, you may be able to view multi format clips (DV, HDV and HD) in your timeline without the need to render.
You will still need to render your final output.

It is still recommended to chose one format and either up or downconvert your your footage to match your final delivery.

That many hard shutdowns is a lot for your system hard drive.

You also might want to try trashing your preferences.

Make sure your scratch disk is set to something other than your system drive. Also make sure that your scratch disk has at least 10% capacity available.

Unfortunately, the 500 does not have a -3db gain. Once again, check the detail settings to see if anything is out of range.

For very sunny days, lower your shutter speed or add a filter over your lens. Both will lower your exposure.

Must be very sunny. If you don’t believe the lens is the problem, you have to check the Detail settings.

FYI the zebras are set to high. Set them to 80 for flesh tones.

Change some of your scene files to see if anything changes.

You will have to cough up a lot more money than that. Rental rates for P2 cards run around $80 per 16GB card.
