I see this issue when mounting the cards via the camera as well, the 2nd card does not always mount the first time the camera is connected with a MACPRO. I have to power down the camera and power up again, on the 2nd attempt the 2nd card mounts on the desktop. Even with P2 Genie same condition is present. I will try the disc utilty mount method to see if this makes the card visible on the desktop.

    Thanks for the info.

Just to note, When using my Intensity with FCP, as soon as I turn on FCP range check the video output from Intensity goes bad. Any ideas? We are on MACIntel.

I tried Cinema tools but it does NOT like XDCAM footage. IT does NOT do the conform.

I was able to export out of FCP to PDW F70, But I did not format the disc. Try it without formatting.

Note: I only had CBR output choices at 25Mbs, there were no settings for 35Mbs, The Sony folks said I should have HD output settings for 35Mbs. Can you check to see if you have these settings for HD 1080 24p
    @ 35Mbs VBR.

I can import @ 35Mbs just fine no export to deck at this settings only @ 25Mbs CBR.

Currently the Flip4 Mac transfer software via Eithernet only imports as a HDV codec, hopefully they will change this, and make it the same codec that Sony uses for import.

You have to use the Sony Transfer software PDZK-P1 XDCAM Transfer
    Software Download (for Apple
Final Cut Pro 5.1.1 or higher)

The BIGGER question What about Media Management for FCP using XDCAM. There is no way to auto import the clips into FCP once the clips have been trashed from the XDcam disc.
