Dan- thanks for your reply… Yes the tape is in the drive is on. Th can get to the drives interface but it is NOT allowing FTP’ing are you on a MAC or PC?

Dan- hello. Noticed you posted a post re; Quantum SDLT drive. Just received one.We are attemping to set it up with the MACPro. I can get into the Drives setup interface through the browser by https://10.10.10.10 I can NOT use the built in FTP client and or a external FTP client to communicate to the drive. It just does not make the connection. It errors with username and or password wrong. Even though I have set-up a username and password in the drives FTP clients interface.
Any thoughts?

The trick is to plug the firewire into the computer first and then the camera 2nd, then turn the camera on.

Yes but After Effects supports AJA, but Photoshop CS2 does not. I thought Adobe is the same company that created both applications.

Just ran into this situation with a camera settings on time code set to free run. I never shoot that way, but make sure your FCP settings are set for. “Make New Clip” at a TC break” to avoid this anoying prolbem.

I believe I had to black stripe the tape for 10 seconds, it finally went into record but needed a signal to lock on, other wise I have just hit the deck’s rec ord button.

Does it allow you to select just one of the clips to capture from the list?

What is the error if any you are geting when you try to batch capture?
