Crappy text is not normal in Motion, I create Killer titles all the time. In order to play the text in real time you are seeing a lower quality version. In the tool bar go up to “View”, then select “Best” for Render Quality. Hope this helps.

Go to the Behaviors tab. Click on the Parameter pop-up menu, which should be called “Add”. Go to Glow and then select Color. If you can’t see the new option click on the Glow disclosure triangle(triangle to the left of the text “Glow”). And you can then change the color. Best of luck.

In your photo editing application, such as Photoshop. I would cut the image up so you could effect different layers of the same image. Add Blend Modes. Mess with the emboss filter and add some random stuff to the photo as well. Hope this helps.
