Another how to?!…tv interference or distortion
I’m intrigued as to how this effect/transition is created. @ 34secs and 1min 4sec

I have found tutorials about creating bad tv effect, but I’m not trying to create fuzz/static/snow, I’m after the effect of interference or a magnet put beside the set.
I’ve tried distorting the footage to no avail…I’m using FCP 4.5 I know FCP 6 has some sort of bad tv filter included.
Any help is very welcomed

The Bad TV Filter can do the effect in the video. You can change the settings to get rid of static and stuff. The Waviness is mainly what your after. I think this Star Wars Hologram tutorial can be of some help, it’s in Motion but you can do it in FCP as well. Hope this helps.

THE BEST tv interference plug in in my opinion and experience is by DigiEffects, called “Damage” its affordable and offers a huge array of settings to achieve every conceivable tv distortion, magnetic effect
you can think of or visualize. its a 4 plug in package that is the best
at what it does that i have seen in my 15 or so years of animating.google damage review and you will find a review I wrote of the plug ins
