Music for video
In your opinion. Where is the best place to find production music. Royalty free or music that we can license.
We are looking for music you might hear on Mtv commercials, Apple, VHI
Or music you might see in videos like this

Mine Grosse Gott in Himmel, but that was some spazzy transition choice in that little promo! And way over-used. Should come with a warning not to be watched by epileptics!
That said, the music was nothing special at all; you can make that stuff up yourself for free with Sonicfire or Garageband, Soundtrack, Acid Pro or any of the music looping tools. If that’s too much work, Digital Juice has a lot of cheap tracks that can be re-edited and remixed in similar fashion.

I’m still a big fan of the “Video Helper” collections for that type of work.

I’m an in-house corporate video guy at a wholesaler. I use Sonicfire Pro and I have a couple dozen of there Strata series disks. A lot of the music sounds like bad porn but there’s a bunch of pretty good stuff in there. You can grab just the drum & base tracks if you like or make a loop or very easily customize a whole song or selected tracks to any duration.
Anyway, that’s what I like to use, it’s so easy and a pretty good value. -
I know Mark already mentioned Digital Juice, sorry if I’m beating a dead horse but I love their tracks. Check out this Creative COW review for Stack Traxxs.

I was about to come in amongst you on that one Mark but then I watched the piece. The soundtrack sounded like my 10 year old nephew did it in Garage Band. Now I’m all about simplicity but that just plain stunk.

we have used Firstcom forever. It costs about $1200 a year, but their music sounds the least porn-like of any of the libraries I have evaluated. Occasionally a client says “the music sounds outdated” but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
