If you import the motion file directly into your Final Cut Pro timeline you maintain all of the Alpha Information. If you want to export a video I find this to be the easiest:
File, Export. Click on Options… Change compressor to Animation. Click on the Advanced button. Make sure it is set to Millions of Colors +. The plus is the alpha channel.

A png will do a Alpha Channel. Make sure it is set to Millions Color + which is under the Advanced tab in the Export Option section. That works for stills. If you doing a video set it to Animation at Millions Colors +. Best of luck.

I export out movies using the Animation codac all the time. This TV Show Open used the Animation setting. I’ve found that if text looks bad, make sure you export out your video set to Best instead of Normal. Go to File, Export. Options. Click on the Output tab and un-check the “use current project and canvas settings” check box. Set Render Quality to Best. Hope this helps.

I find it ironic that there was no Video Adds on the article as I was reading it. I think the best analogy I can come up with on the now you don’t need an Ad Agency or Production Company angle is this. If you buy Microsoft Word you can now become a Best Selling Writer. I don’t think so. The tools that create the content is not what makes a spot memorable. It is the talent that put it together. Just my two cents.
