Time remapping wil work great. You start out with a start and end keyframe. Get it to how you like and copy the first key frame. Paste that keyframe at the end and you will have a ping-pong effect.

You want it to look like a figure 8 (your logo) is being hand drawn on the screen. In stead of a rectangle use the Bezier or B-spline or paint tool to trace your orange figure 8. Then do the following. Make sure the color of the Bezier line is white. That will make the white a luma stencil so when all is said and done the white is not seen. For a quick example you may want to check out my Creating a Hologram tutorial. In the middle it will explain image masks. Best of luck and hope this helps.

The company I work for shoots lots of film, however, the demand has disappeared for us because of HD. Anyways, just like Shane said. Every time I needed that look I just grabbed it from the end of one of our film shoots. There is some stuff worth looking at on iStockphoto. Try Film End. Maybe pond5 or revostock as well. I just used the CHV Morphing FX V1.5.1 and it worked pretty good. Its hard to use at first but it did the job.
