Motion makes this very easy, Create a line using the Bezier, B-Spline or paint tool. I like the B-Spline tool. Go to the Shape tab in the Inspector. Go to the Start or End Cap option. Change Round to Arrow and you have an arrow head. Change the Arrow head length with the Arrow Length slider and the width with the Arrow Width slider. Feel Free to ad a Write on Behavior and the arrow will animate with the right on. Best of luck.

A solid sky, yeah, you should be able to key it out. It will effect other areas as well, so you will need to create a rough garbage matte so your don’t key out other areas of the clip. You can also try messing with some blend modes and see if that works as well.

I think in regards to graphics, a nice vignette can balance out a title card and force the eyes where you want it. I think some people do stuff just because they can, you should never do something because you can, but because you feel it will make the project better.

you have plenty of options, for one of them, when you get the X because something moved to fast you can move the tracker and then hit the analyze button and it will keep going. Hope this helps and best of luck.

The article was written for Creative COW magazine which came to my mail box three weeks ago. It has been available to read online for a while. I’ve really liked the Animation codec. It was the default for Motion 3. The Pro Res works well also. Just my two cents.
