Motion to FCP quality loss
Just got Motion 4. I’ve never used it before. Besides little problems I’m having with my lack of knowledge, I created scrolling text, exported to FCP using an Animation QT compression.
My FCP project is NTSC SD (is going to be a featured DVD sold on our website)
The motion, looks good when played with QT but in FCP is flickery and blurry.
What settings should I set the motion export, so that I get a clean smooth look to the scroll when imported onto a FCP SD NTSC timeline.

Be sure to set it to best when you export. You can also place the Motion project file into your Final Cut Pro timeline and render it there so you don’t have to export. In FCP go to Sequence, settings, Render Control and set Quality to Best. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Hey, by any chance. What settings would you use to export to NTSC SD for solid results, if you had no size restrictions? (besides uncompressed, some reason that doesn’t work in FCP)

I’ve really liked the Animation codec. It was the default for Motion 3. The Pro Res works well also. Just my two cents.
