Bring the footage straight into motion and do you speed change. Then set to optical flow and wait for it to crunch the numbers. It will look awesome!!!

Keep in mind that if you remove the matte and used the Offset slider it will undo how you moved it with the Offset Slider and the Y position will return to zero.

The Widescreen Matte has a Offset slider that will move the clip up or down to better fit in the Widescreen matte.
However, be forewarned that the FCP Widescreen 2.35 setting is 2 pixels different then compressors Panavision 2.35:1 setting.
