Place your text in a group. Add a mask to the group. Then add a keyframe to the text’s position. Move back in the timeline 30 seconds or so and then add another keyframe. Move the texts position down until the text goes out of the mask which should be on the red line. That will make the text look like it is coming out of the red line. That is just to funny.

When I worked at a local TV station they would bring you into an edit bay hand you a script and some tapes and say, “I’ll be back in 30 minutes.” They gave everyone the same script and tapes so you would get a real good idea as to what they can and can’t do.

Just know that the “stop” behavior will make you object suddenly stop with no ease to a stop.

You will want to use Position keyframes. Place the image where you want it to start and create a position keyframe. Then move down the timeline and create another keyfreame. Then move the image to where you want it to stop. Go to where you want the movement to start again and create another keyframe. Then create one last keyframe and move the image off the screen.

This affect is best achieved with a locked down camera and the simpler the background the better. Sorry, I know that is of no help at this point but hopefully in the future.

Andy is right. If you look at older post someone ran a test and said not going to cinamatools looked way better. He did it both ways and did a side by side. I just did this in Motion only and it looked fantastic.

Is the new clip a different size then the drop zone? I find it is best to add a mask to a group that the clip/drop-zone is in because of this.
