I am trying to slow down some footage that I have shot on canon 7d at 60fps. I have brought it in to Motion and adjusted the speed and placed the Optical Flow on it. When I have finished rendering it it has a bubbling effect that is on the blended frames and I was wondering if there was a way to smooth these out. The footage is of building facades shot from a moving car. Is the fact that the camera is moving and not the subject part of the problem?

This affect is best achieved with a locked down camera and the simpler the background the better. Sorry, I know that is of no help at this point but hopefully in the future.

That was my thought too. Thank you for your help and I definitely learned for the future.

How slow are you trying to get it?

I was slowing it down to 15% because that is what I read to slow it down to. Is that too slow?

You can get a pretty decent slomo (50%) if you take the clip into Cinema Tools and conform it. Then slow that slomo clip down with Optical Flow, just not so much.
