You ask on a Vegas/DVDA forum if you should switch to Vegas/DVDA?

And, you think that someone would say no?

I’ve been using DVDA for three years and I haven’t found it to be lacking in any area. What do you mean by “filters”? What do you think is missing?

There are exceptions to the new closed captioning rules, including local productions. Go to the FCC.gov site and search ‘closed caption’.

Radio Shack sells an attenuated patch cable that drops headphone level audio to line level.

  • Yes.

Fisrt, I don’t use Vegas capture – not that there’s anything wrong with it, just that I’ve been using Scenalyzer for capture longer than I’ve been using Vegas. It’s small, simple, ans just does captures – nothing else.

I have captured from two cameras at the same time using two instances of Scenalyzer on a 2Ghz PC. I don’t recall the setup, but I think both captures were to the same drive – not the system drive.

  • I use Scenalyzer to capture into a laptop when I do some theater work. I can get several hours on one file, but I tend to hit the “split” button every major breaking point in the program.

You also can’t beat the price.

I had something similar to this a few years ago.
It turned out to be a conflict in sound card drivers. I removed everything from Real and he problem went away.

    Your mileage may vary

Ed – why have I never seen this (low audio in mt DVD’s)? Is it unique to 5.1 mixes?

Thanks. That was it. I tried it before but I was adjusting the mixer controls and nothing happened.

I’ve never been able to get my rays to work that well.

The second effect – just guessing, but you may have the track duplicated and pan/crop an effect on the upper track. Maybe a white gradient?

    Do I win?
