    ?

Your video file is either interlaced or it isn’t. There’s no in-between.

Any soundcard or on-board sound chips will have a terribly high noise floor of around -50 dBm. If you want good sound, you have to go external.

Then, I am missing something because the Options Menu has a checkmark when Quantize is selected, and the toolbar clearly highlights the selected buttons.

You sure?? The QTF button on my screen is a toggle just like the snap, crossfades and Ripple buttons.

“Assume the entire [screen] is going to be seen but keep all “important” part inside the real safe area”

    And, that’s a problem…. why?

As I said, the safe area is arbitrary anyway so no two TV receivers will be the same.

Why would you want to? The ‘safe area’ is arbitrary anyway.

I am surprised that the Fostex is that far off. I use a couple of Sony Minidisc recorders and they are dead-on accurate after an hour.

I just tried an iRiver 780 at a stage performance to pick up ambient sounds. Good thing, too, because one of my wireless mics died during the performance. I haven’t sync’ed it up to the video yet but it ran for a few minutes over two hours.

I use JAlbum, but I recall that there is an action in Photoshop to do this as well.
