i have two audio sources and i’m trying sync them up. but i cant seem to get them line up exactly. They are barely off but just enough that you can hear a echo. When i try to slide them together the clips “jump” to far in either direction. Is there a way to be able to move the clips with greater precision??

Turn off Quantize to Frames (top of the Options menu).

It’s easier to tell if it’s on or off if you look at it under the VIEW menu.

IF you turn it off, make sure you ONLY adjust the audio off frame and not the video. That’s the reason for quantize to frames – to keep the video straight. Also make sure you zoom in on the timeline. It seems very unlikely that you’d hear echo on a half frame (that’s 1/60th of a second!) Make sure you’ve zoomed in on the timeline to see exactly how far apart they are. At the default view, it could look the same and still be 4 or 6 frames off. Then it’s VERY noticable. I usually fine-tune positioning using the 1 and 3 keys on the numeric keypad.
