I did real estate drive-by shootings (MLS Photos) many years ago. There is NO WAY anyone could shoot 20 apartment videos in a day unless they were all in the same building.

Throw it away? Sure, if you want to give up easily. Did you even read the link to the “low memory” explanation? Didn’t I warn you that uncompressed MOV will be huge? Since you haven’t said what format the final project will be in, I suggested uncompressed MOV so that you would not lose any quality. If you are only going to DVD then you could use AVI as an intermediate which is lightly compressed.

You could try to download a new copy and reinstall.
Note, you did not need to remove any SCS software to reinstall or upgrade.If this still doesn’t work, then you will have to call customer service – NOT tech support.

But you can run Boris Continuum, GenArts Sapphire Edge and New Blue FX in Vegas. I am petty sure that there is a “Particles” unit for BCC7.Steve Mann

As Spot said, even an i5 should have no problems with simple edits, even with AVCHD, which usually requires the fastest processor you can get.
The first thing I would do is:
Open Control Panel, System. Click on “Advanced system settings” then under “performance” click on “Settings”.
In the “Visual Effects” tab, select “..best performance”.
In the “Advanced” tab, select “Adjust for best performance of Programs”.Click on “Apply” and “OK” your way back out.

I have had nothing but regret from using knockoff batteries. When they work, the displayed battery life is hugely optimistic.
Most Sony gear will not run on the cheap knockoffs. Sony cameras communicate with the battery to determine its legacy, temperature and charge level. If the camera can’t determine the battery manufacturer, it will not function. (Speaking from experience.)
