AVI is just a container that can hold video from any codec. What codec does mediainfo (a free download) say created the file?
Did you say that you have done this exact workflow before and the encode time was shorter? (You encode MPEG, notwithstanding that it is in the “Render As” menu).
Please say that you did not install a codec pack…..

The velocity envelope only affects the event it’s applied to. You have two events on your timeline. I don’t think there’s a velocity feature for the audio event.

If you disabled the Kona card driver, which driver did you use to capture? Did Windows still see the card with a default Windows driver?
If it looks like a Kona driver issue, then I would be on Kona’s case for a resolution.
(I don’t do SDI here, but it would be a step up from my HDV cameras.

I put my logo bug under the timecode at a low opacity, then to really screw with them, I animate it very slowly across the entire project.

I have a similar system and no problems with M2T files.
What is the source of the M2T file? (MiniDV is the tape package and has nothing to do with the video data format).
When you can’t open a file in Vegas but you can in a player program, that tells me that the file is either “Read Only” or belongs to another user.Steve Mann

Vegas 1 and 2 were strictly audio editors. Video was added with Version 3.

Short answer – no.
I have a permanent greenscreen wall that is lit with 15 fluorescent fixtures and the talent lights are 500-Watt halogens.
Your greenscreen can be any color, but you ideally want a primary color (RG or B) and one that is not on your subject (there goes red and blue). As long as the background is evenly lit, you should have no problems.
