I have confirmed that menu duration does not appear to work in flash export. CS6, Win7. In CS5, loop point did not work in flash export. I have not tested in CS6.

What do you mean by timeout? Set duration and ends or loops or ?

    What version of Encore?

You can debate quality. Either method is fairly easier, so try it both ways with a short sequence of the video you are using.

Dynamic link the short sequence. The transcode setting shoujld be “automatic.” Yes, dynamic link will handle both video and audio.

Then export that same sequence using the MPEG2-DVD format. Do not change what is called “multiplexing.” This will create m2v and wav files. In encore, use “Import as Timeline,” and select both files. You should see “do not transcode” for the m2v, and the wav file will transcode to dolby if that is your Encore project setting.

By “made hundreds of discs from this project,” you make no changes to the project, and keep burning the same build? In my opinion,k there are too many variables to count on Encore not changing something. Build to an iso or folder, and burn from that.

The most likely cause is that you inadvertently changed something.

You could try posting a screenshot of your project and build panels.

If I misunderstand, and you are changing the project in any way, that is a different story…

  • “Internal errors” come in lots of flavors. They are not always easy to solve. But start by indicating waht the specific error is. What operating system? Did you transcode your assets first (or is this happening at the same time as the build)?

Encore does not include this as a feature.

Yes, you have to create your own background with the thumbnail sized animations you want.

Someone had a workaround to create an video thumbnail, but it had no link.

  • No problem in Encore. See this for navigaton etc.

    https://help.adobe.com/en_US/encore/cs/using/WSbaf9cd7d26a2eabfe807401038582db29-7e8ca.html#WSbaf9cd7d26a2eabfe807401038582db29-7e88a

You will end up with one video track and 2 audio tracks in your timeline. Note that you cannot preview 5.1 sound in Encore, but it will pass it through to the dvd.

  • Use the “Sunset Submenu” as a test. You will see that a button in that menu is of the “chapter” type, and has a thumbnail layer, which can be animated. It is designed for indexing; has previous/next buttons etc. If you are usuing widescreen, try “radiant submenu wide.”

You would have to manually edit the poster frame for each chapter that you don’t like the thumbnail animation. but I think it should work fine for an indexed creation process.

I have not played with this much. I want lossless (as you do) in this scenario. You can now bring VOBs into Premiere, but I don’t think it is doing smart rendering yet.

I suspect there is a demuxer out there somewhere.

You can try renaming to mpg.
