Off late i have also encoutered this problem.

I was trying to downconvert some 1080p files to 720 X 480 via aja kona lhi in the export settings. The clips converted fine but the later half of it was all blank. I remeber i had clearly marked the in & out points.

Turns out it was a stuck 82mm adapter. I had used a wide angle adapter a couple of months ago. This wide angle adapter had the 82mm adpater attached. When i took the wide angle off the 82mm did’nt come off and i never realised it untill now.

It took me some effort but finally i got rid of the 82mm.

    Thanx for your help Jason!

    Hey Jason

I also thought HVX has a 82mm thread.

Is there a possibilty that hvx might have an adapter in the front of the lens? I noticed a black ring which says 82mm adapter. I tried taking it off but it wont come off.

I ordered the part from letus itself.

  • Go to the menu options, select the 480i option in the AV playback option.

You should be able to get SD signal on your monitor now.

For most of the people who have some kind of knowledge of the production world, this video is far from perfect. But is it really aimed at these people? No. From a common viewer’s point of view this is a pretty good video!

However that being said, we have to remember that it was a Pro who made this video even though it was made with an Iphone. Like so many other people say on this forum ” It does’nt matter what the tool is, important thing is knowing how to use it and get the best results?
