Only reboot and verify permissions off the disc, if the disc system install version matches the version the computer runs…

First off if your computer system install disc does not match with the version of your system that you are verifying (OS install disc 10.3.3 and 10.3.9 installed) your going to make the problem worse. Don’t do it, the issue is that the permissions of the originally installed system off of the install disc don’t match your current running system.
The solution that I am aware of is:
Are you using iTunes?

True, but compared to the original iBook g4 its much better 26 times faster on benchmark, and the video resolution and output is not limited, but you are correct the graphics card is not the best. Though I do think that the black one looks really cool.

What do you need 2Gb for?
The specification that is listed is the maximum that apple certifies the computer will use, you may be able to get it to recognize more memory, but no gaurantees that it will or won’t, I have no experience with trying to put more memory then spec in an emac, but I have done it in some older computers.
Your best bet is stick with specifiaction…

you can do this, you don’t have to use a PStorm you can use a normal emitter from the objects menu>partilces and just put all the objects you want as children of the emitter.

The H.264 playback performance seems to have improved on larger files, and the exports seem to be faster, but this could just be me.

Well you already stated the problem I didn’t notice the OS you were using the first time, 10.3.9 only can use 4GB you need Tiger to use all that ram.

Did you install the memory in matched pairs?
If not try that…
also talk to the manufacturer and see what there replacement policy is…
