If you try and do the same thing with an HDPro card there are some conflicts that show up when you use the source viewer…so they are almost there.

I have this problem to. Someone earlier posted this was fixed in 5.42 which is the current Decklink driver but I haven’t tested this yet.

I think you need the HDpro444 card to do realtime hardware downconversion.

The Videohub has a good downconverter in it but it won’t pass audio through as I discovered at the last minute. A bug apparently.

I’ve noticed PP2 has to build the conform files first for some audio files before they will play. Pull one clip in and see if it will play after it has conformed.

I agree. Our systems do the same thing.

BM support told me they were trying to track it down with Adobe. You might want to send BM support a note so they know who is having a problem.

So why doesn’t Panasonic offer a 3rd party Codec, or work with Adobe. Have they got an exclusive with Apple?

It is going to have a huge impact on your product sales if there aren’t easy post solutions without going to FCP. We are currently using Pro and Pro50 equipment and would love to move to P2, but not if we can’t post in our current Premiere workflow.

Look at your DVX100 install base. It isn’t all apple!

I’ve run into this when exporting a 486 instead of 480 line timeline in another app.

It actually looks like the footage is being deinterlaced for the duration of the title and going soft as a result.

Tone on Beta SP is always 0vu. There are variations on the Digital side from -12 to -20 depending on the format and production house, but it is always 0vu on analog.
