I have a BMD SP card on a SuperMicro P4SCT+II with an Nvidia Quadro FX 700. With the BM drivers 5.4 (and 5.4.2) uninstalled, DV capture works fine in PPro 2.0. With the drivers installed I get the old “Can’t Activate Recorder. Try Resetting Camera.” error message when trying to capture.

Works without BMD drivers doesn’t work with BMD drivers. I’m a little dense but I think that conclusively points to the BMD drivers as the source of the problem.

    Anyone agree?

I agree. Our systems do the same thing.

BM support told me they were trying to track it down with Adobe. You might want to send BM support a note so they know who is having a problem.

Temporary solution is to rename your decklink.dll. This way you don’t have to uninstall or reinstall your BM drivers when you want to capture.

I get the same problem with PPRO 2.0 with DV capture using regular DV settings. Output does not work either to the DV device. Once I remove the BMD drivers from this directory – C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0\Plug-ins\en_US —> restart PPRO, everything works as normal.
