I can’t seem to find anything about outputing downconverted HD material through the SDI connector in Premiere, or this only a Mac thing?

I think you need the HDpro444 card to do realtime hardware downconversion.

The Videohub has a good downconverter in it but it won’t pass audio through as I discovered at the last minute. A bug apparently.

Thanks Shane, yes you are probably right. the down-convert option on my Decklink HD control panel is greyed out. I’m sure Luke said all the cards do down conversion. Oh well, time is short, bills to pay…

    Hi Peter,

Please review the Feature summary table and the notes on Down conversion with Windows XP SP2. The summary is that only the DeckLink HD Pro 4:4:4 will currently perform down conversion on Windows whereas all DeckLink cards can perform down conversion on Mac OS X using software down conversion.
