Thanks Josh,
Yeah, I am all too familiar with caustics but I have yet to play around with wave world. I guess there is no time like the present. I will give it a shot and see what I can develop. Thanks for the tip.

PS – I am using the “Custom” mode at 1F. I basically have to rotoscope this effect as it goes across a statue, people and reflections inside the glass container. I hope this helps or provides additional information.

Thanks for the reply. I thought it was the pretty even and I appreciate the insight to the SX format. Looks like the DSR-450 is on the list as a purchase.

Thanks guys. Your information is great and I recently picked up the SoundSoap and love it! I will have to try and work out the reverb issue. I greatly appreciate all of your feedback. Take care.

Thanks for the info guys. I just got finished watching the demo from their site. It will work wonders with the refrigerator noise but I am a little concerned about the echo/reverb from the other kitchen. I am sure this program will perform perfectly.

Are you talking about capturing directly from the camera or from the computer. If you are trying to capture from the computer to an external hard drive the you will somehow need a device that triggers the play/record/stop, etc. functions. I believe the FireStore device can do this. You can always shoot and capture to this external hard drive then connect that device to your ACEDVio and work like normal. Does this answer your question? If not, then please provide a little more clarity as to what you are exactly trying to accomplish.
Here’s the link to that device.

Thanks Steve and Jeff.
I will definitely post any future work here and let you know how the meeting with the GM goes. Again, I couldn’t have created the show without the help of the COW and all the great advice and brilliant people here. Perhaps I can create a special category in the credits for

Jeff,
I actually drew an outline of the state in Illustrator, threw it into zaxwerks and barely extruded the outline. I used CC Scatterize because you can creat a nice whispy effect (especially with a little motion blur on the layer). The rest is what I am trying to work out per this post. I really only have about :17 for animation as I am trying to stay to more focused on the content. As far as posting here… that will never happen. I have been working in motion graphics for 10 months. The last item I displayed was ripped for being “simple.” Since that time four months ago I have been trying to completely learn the program and better myself with an understanding of colors, movement, depth etc. So you will have to excuse me for being a little, er, make that a lot gun shy. I will be happy to send it to your via email though. Thanks for the input and response.

Can I email you the animation later tonight to see what you think and give you a better idea of what is trying to be accomplished? I looked for an email address from you but couldn’t see one. You can email me that information at seth@foundryvideo.com. Thanks.

Thanks Aharon,
I have played around quite a bit with fractal noise and am going to incorporate it into the deep red solid to do something behind the woman. It’s really the pictures of the people I am not sure what to do about and if they are even appropriate at all.
BTW – This is Seth (I have a couple of login names here… don’t know why I just do) and I am still loving the PI Fusion DVD. I have watched it numerous times to get the creative juices flowing.
