    what’s the difference for u if you edit with a subsequnce or a subclip?
    if you already did all the preparing work for the clips, so why not take them as yoru new ‘sources’?

    i would use the corner pinning within the 3dwarp.
    pin the following image (library) onto the poster (may be a pain in the ass, because if the camera is moving you will have to set keyframes for the correct position of the corners) and use a morph or a normal dissolve as transition.

    @bouke:
    i’m not sure if the decklink card can be used for desktop systems. i will have to check the specs sheet.

    December 19, 2006 at 1:40 pm in reply to: rendering equals loss of quality?

    a guy from our avid support once told me that if you render out a stack of vertical effects (more than one effect laying above each other; on V1, V2 aso.) you will have a loss of qualitiy. but he didn’t say if you can see it with your eyes or if you just can measure it.
    anyway, he also told me if i have a stack of vertical effects i should make a subsequence of this effect (for further changes if necessary) and then use the collapse effect. this should do the trick.

    just a little addition. avid only uses straight alpha channels. so make sure you change from premultiplied to straight alph when rendering in aftre effects.

    December 12, 2006 at 9:58 am in reply to: Timecode Illusion FX

    it’s quite at the bottom of this very long list.
    it says: FREE Jeffrey Lomicka’s Timecode BurnIn.
    It’s written in red. Then you’ll be forwarded to jeffrey’s site.

    But what i just saw: it is already a part of the illusion fx. i used it for a long time, even before it was implemented into avids effect palette.
    sorry for confusing you guys.
