Okay, so figured out I had “stacked group” on in the settings for essential graphics panel in Premiere. With this off, I was able to edit the fields finally. Something simple 🙂

Hi Michael Szalapski, the issue is when looking at the screenshot from Premiere, you will see that 3Line_3rd Line, 2 Line_Name, and 2Line_2nd Line have empty fields and therefore, I can’t click in them to change the copy. (So for example, In the in the Essential Graphics Panel in Premiere, 2Line_2nd Line doesn’t show “Marine Science Co-Author” like it shows in the Essential Graphics Panel in After Effects. Kind of confusing, but I just can’t get all of the fields put into the Essential Graphics panel in AE to show up as editable in Premiere.

  • That seemed to work, Scott! I don’t completely understand since my anchor points on the shape layer were center left to begin with but plugging your expression worked. Thanks so much!

    Hi Kalleheikki Kannisto,

I am working in CC 2018. Probably something obvious I am missing. I have attached a screenshot to help explain what I am trying to do.

Thanks, Kalleheikki Kannisto. When I do that, I lose the puppet pins. I am looking for a way to zero out the coordinates without losing the puppet pins.

  • Hi Adam, I haven’t keyframed the radius/fillet and the autokey isn’t on. Another thing is when I close the file and open it back up, I have to turn the radius and fillet back on.

Hi Steve. Thanks much for the helpful reply. I found that I had the Renderer set to Hardware OpenGL. When I changed it to Standard, that solved the res problem but now it dims my lights (in the picture viewer as well as the rendered file seen in After Effects). I can’t seem to figure out what is dimming my lights on the renderer. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The file is below:

Wow–thanks Steve for your lengthy response! I need some time to digest all of this since some of this is still sounds foreign to me. I really appreciate the time you put in to helping me with this. I don’t quite understand when and when not to use the different Intermediate Point settings for the Object Properties and what number to dial in just yet. Lots to learn!

Hi Steve. Thanks for your response. The link to the file is here: 11581_sweepissue.c4d.zip.

The area of interest that is causing me problems is the only part with a sweep in this file. Thanks for your help!

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for your help. I am using the same spline used for the extrusion. I’ve tried different axis orientations and changing the roundness of the endcaps but nothing seems to be helping that sweep spline lay flush to the extrusion spline all the ay around. I’ve also tried changing the intermediate points options and their number/angle/maximum length to see if that would help but no luck.
