So I found a post over @ Adobe. forums.adobe.com/message/4447748
Had to install the ProApps Codecs v1.0.1 and magically the codecs appeared.
I hope this helps others.

Thanks so much for the extensive testing!
I sure hope that either Rolf or Tom can answer your question, “can you perform multiple sessions to the same tape, eject, erase, reinsert tape and perform restore via CATDV?” This in my mind would be a deal breaker as we would be archiving projects on a daily basis with the chance of needing to restore from a different tape at any given moment.

Let’s see how the day pans out.

Jeff,
I was evaluating the Cache-A integration last year but I don’t believe I had the latest Cache-A software. We haven’t purchased CATDV yet but we are using the Cache-A and tape capacity notification for me is an issue. Can you clarify for me that in order for CATDV to ask for a new tape when it reaches capacity that “multiple volumes” must be enabled on the Cache-A? I can’t test this and the last time I chatted with Cache-A tech support they suggested that I not enable that option.

ver 1.3 supports tape spanning (page 75 man)and I wasn’t sure if CatDV would know when Cache-a decides to span files to another tape.

Hoping there is a better way to manage the amount of content going to VTAPE without going over tape capacity.

yes it is on a system with prores. I can export roughly 1:30 in Prores and it works. Whole timeline, no go.

Wrong directory, had the VTAPE not the Cache-A root.
It’s working now but I do see an error from the Cache-A Status Tool – Lib Status – Manage button. “error_msg = status_library library not supported.”

Log from CatDV (server or local) or Cache-A?
I’ll try and get that screenshot later. No errors just says nothing of nothing done.
