total catdv noob question
just started playing with 9 and for whatever reason I cannot get any kind of video to playback, all I get is thumbnails.
Sheesh, it must be right under my nose but I cannot for the life of me figure this out.

Are you opening up a catalog or simply dragging assets in?
Can you relink or update media location? -
If you drag a movie into the main window it will create a clip record with a thumbnail and a movie you can play in the Movie tab in the clip details area at the top of the window. That’s presupposing the file is in a format that QuickTime knows how to play and you have the relevant codec. In some cases CatDV might be able to catalog a file and extract basic information from it but not be able to play it. What sort of video file is it?

FYI, the files in question are no frills QT videos.
Will post back when I get things straightened out.
