Try selecting “Composition” “Add to Render Queue” and select Quicktime Animation, Quicktime Photo-Jpeg or Quicktime PNG and see if any of these render out better for you.

Try flattening the Illustrator file to one layer and re-import into AE.

Try reducing the brightness of the light so there’s not as much contrast. Also, as the other poster says, add noise to reduce the appearance of banding.

Are the highlights a little blown? There’s natural film grain clips you can apply over your footage, and video editing cards that have effects like film grain. There’s some nice stuff in there already, good work!

You’d create an additional menu that comes up at the end of the previous clip. This “linking” is done through your favorite DVD authoring program.
