Videocopilot makes a great plugin called Twitch that is fully adjustable with lots of different types of effects. Well worth the cash.

Try exporting a quicktime h.264, sorenson 3, png, jpeg . . . those will all work on a pc. if you need lossless, go for animation.

Try repairing permissions. If you didn’t repair permissions before installing FCP, uninstall FCP, repair permissions, then re-install. Don’t know if it’ll help, but it seems that permissions cause a lot of problems on Mac’s.

How long is the duration of the shot? If it’s short, roto . . . or try keying the blue out.

Would leaving that defect in take away from the film? Sometimes leaving things like that in give it character. I say that ’cause the shots you uploaded look artistic. I love that dark, grainy, black and white look you’ve got going!
