depends how deep into space you want to go. You can pretty quickly, manually animate individual layers
from a z distance up at you and past you. I would use a placeholder phrase and animate about 10 unique moves up and out past the screen. Then duplicate and tweak bezier handles, locations, speed, rotation or however complex you want to get all 10 of them. I would stagger them, dupe them and tweak and on and on to 200. Then I would replace the footage with the individual phrases. Sure, its a little time consuming, but if your fast with AE, I dont think it would take that long and you would get something more original than some plug in would provide.

that is one of the downsides of some 3d plug ins. They dont scale high rez imagery the same way a true 3d app interpolates one.

I would add that it looks like they used the edges setting for a lot for the geometry. Also some matte work was done. Color was over-ridden. normal settings used for the titles. More than one setting of shine was used and composited. Various anchor points were animated as well. Simple yet complex in a way.

big fan of Twixtor pro for this. You can not only speed up and slow down footage but ease in and out of different velocities for some great effects..

depends how many cars you have and how fast they are going. I have rotoscoped soft glow circles on the headlights, pre comped it then used the echo filter with and overlay. Tweaking that set up works. Any number of plugins including trapcode stroke could do this. All involve SOME work.

You could also just try the echo filter on the entire footage, tweek it to repeat often, than crank the color correction ‘dark’ and contrasty leaving just the luminance of the effect. If its an evening shot, this would work too if you were to overlay that on the footage.

particular can do that. It all depends on realism and camera angles. If its a more cartoony look or more convincing. I would create some hand animated daisies and vary the master a number of ways and composite them with more control than a particle system would give me… Hard to say without more detail.
