Yes both firmware and drivers have been updated…cannot run more that 1 out of 10 times without a crash….ERRRRGGG! BM is really a pain in my butt, I have yet to have a product (out of 4 I have or DID own) without issues!
    Thanks for the input though!!

I am aware of all that, it seems that there are known issues with GPU acceleration in SVP11. I actually have to disable it to render well for anything AVC! My main concern is preview, and at this point I am not getting 4.2 times better on the card that they “tested” it with….not overly happy with spending more money on a card that barely gets better previews…but thanks for the input!

Maybe a bad cable, or perhaps an iffy SD card. If it is not indeed a Vegas issue.

What transfer utility are you using? I tried the one that came with the cams and it did not re-combine them….any help here for me is also appreciated!!
    Thanks

11 works pretty well for me, no more buggy than 10 for me. The GPU rendering is a but messy, but you can bypass that….overall….I would jump…

I have two of the G10, which is the same camera without the XLR inputs. It works really well in SVP 10 and 11, footage is AWESOME with the highest setting. The only issue you may have is if you are doing longer shoots, the camera limits file size at 2GB, and you will have multiple files for a longer that 17mins shoot. I hate this and am still wondering why they are still doing this. They do not always seam well and can drop a frame or audio….with that said, I work around this and love the cams!!

How are the previews? Same as before?
    Thanks

I find it hard to believe that the GPU acceleration is the same as CPU. If you look at the test specs on the sony website, that is a pretty fast test system. Most of us should see improved preview with a GPU….

Had very good results with the fastest Phenom II X6 as well. Saved a ton of cash vs Intel, very happy with the results. If $ is an issue, think about AMD, if not buy the most expensive Intel i7 you can afford. I would go AMD before an i5 though….just my two cents.

    Thanks Guys,
I will check out those software items, I am only concerned with GPU PREVIEW, and don’t care about rendering times for AVC that much….and have only been looking for the golden egg of smooth preview! BTW, Steve I would guess that your Quadro card will not work for previewing in SVP 11. I have a Quadro FX 1700 and 4600 and neither work for GPU acceleration with the newest drivers….just something to think about…
    Thanks again!
