Just the worthless upgrades we all did for better preview in SVP 11. I have a Radeon HD 6870 that was “supposed” to have 4x’s better preview. Whenever I have acceleration on, it is no better than without it AND I suffer from stuttering audio and other anomalies. I have another editing box with a GTX480 and same issue. After spending $ on upgrade and GPU’s I wasted a whole lot of time and money. In addition, if I am rendering in any AVCHD format, and forget to have it use only the CPU when rendering, I come back and see it will take days to complete a render. All this while running off an SSD main drive 16GB of RAM and a Hexacore AMD chip on the newest gigaabyte board and all drivers most recent…..in addition, I must make sure I save after any important edit as Vegas could crash at any time. I abhor editing more than one stream of video in Vegas, but do not have time or money to move to another platform, so I continue to pray Sony actually starts to fix these issues…..unhappy to say the least, and I REALLY LOVE editing in SVP….so many of us feel your pain!

If budget is an issue, go with an AMD 1100t…..six cores, more threads and nice render times! I have 3 AMD Hexacores (2 1090’s and 1 1100) for 3 editing suites and love them. Money I saved I put into 16G of RAM in all machines….also you can get a better decked out motherboard (I use gigabyte lately with great results). I have esata, usb3, more sata 6Gbs connections and more PCIe channels…..Just my two cents!

That may have been what I heard as well. It would make sense since the 1 & 2ME use the same uncompressed formats that BM’s other capture devices use…

I believe that only Media Express can be used to capture from ATEM….however there MAY be something for Adobe as well…

I know in the past Mike Kujbida, has shared on where sony keeps their archived builds….I am not sure…..I keep all the builds I download for this very reason. You may actually be able to google it and find someone who has it on a torrent site or something too…
    Good luck!

I had issues with build 511 and ended up going back to 426. Things work fine now. Are you using GPU acceleration? I have had very disappointing results with it using both a Radeon Card and an Nvidia card as well. One gives me crashes, the other gives me audio anomalies. They are on different machines with similar builds (AMD CPU’s Gigabyte motherboard and G-skill ram both with SSD HD’s for OS…) With all that bring said, try disabling the GPU acceleration and also when you go to render, make sure to select CPU only….(if AVC). Good luck. I also had someone tell me MIDI can be an issue as well….

BM is absolutely TERRIBLE at giving DETAILED info in their manuals. It is a real pain! As awesome as their products are SUPPOSED to be and sometimes are….there are certain things we have to deal with…..one AWESOME reason for this forum, to actually find out real info from people who are trying to use the products. You have to deal with some arrogance from a limited few members, but for the most part….this is the place to get any real info!!!! Thanks to all the COW family…..!!!

    You Guys ROCK!!

….or you could throw the camera REALLY HARD to get it to go through the door! Just make sure it is recording before you throw it!
OK, really, dolly would be the best way, although you could use a tripod with wheels and a steady hand!!
    Good Luck!
