did you try doing a video mixdown before the QT ref?

on the avid side you go to tools> video output tool.

thats the manual with firewire info starting on page 32
ALSO, are you sure the deck is in NTSC or Pal(if thats what your working in)? that deck is switchable between 50i and 60i.

I assume your going out firewire. do you have the avid and deck set to internal ref? are the input of the deck set correctly to firewire?

pc or mac?
are you using a Rosetta Stone RS-232 to RS-422 converter for your remote?or Keyspan USA-28x is USB to RS-422?
if you turn off machine control are video/audio hitting the avid?

you want OMF 2.0
check Include all audio tracks in sequence
consolidate media
60 frame handle (thought you can chose what handle lenght you want)
check include rendered audio effects
check render all audio effects
audio “embedded in omf”or just hit F1 and search “omf export”
the help file is your friend.

use the “fluidFlim progressive” effect.

Just highlight the file and choose “Batch import”. This will re-import and replace the file in your sequence.

Don’t know why it does that, just use “special” menu than “restore default patch” and that’ll set you strait

Check which version of quicktime you have installed. Avid is very picky about the version. If you check the readme file for your Media composer software, it will tell you which version you need. (each version of media composer, needs a certain version of QT, It’s just about never the most updated ver of QT)
