    Hi,

I’ve just set up a new Avid Media Composer on my Macbook. The connection to the deck (Sony J-30SDI) is firewire for the moment. No Mojo yet. The problem is that I’m seeing footage from all tapes as very green. I tried capturing some of this, and when I look back at it, it’s also green. However when I pause this footage, the colouring looks normal.

Any ideas? I’m not used to using Avid systems so don’t really know my way around it.

    Thanks,

    A.

Check which version of quicktime you have installed. Avid is very picky about the version. If you check the readme file for your Media composer software, it will tell you which version you need. (each version of media composer, needs a certain version of QT, It’s just about never the most updated ver of QT)

That sounds like a possible wrong graphics card driver version. Avid doesn’t necessarily support the most recent driver that NVIDIA, Matrox, etc. puts out for their cards.
