I just had the pleasure of doing that and its pretty complicated.
The problem is that during editing the cadence of the pull down drifts.
So even when it all was scanned as A,B,BC,CD,D,E, you will only find the same cadence in 20% of you final film.
The rest will start somewhere else probably.
As far as I know, only hardware boxes like the Teranex can detect cadence shifts on a shot base and compensate for them automatically.
The other problem is, you will run into shots where TWO cadence are in one edit and removing both with steal a frame from you.
You can expect around 5% loss in total.
The only proper way to do this is to re-edit the footage into a proper 24p timeline, then do the scans from the EDL based on that edit.
Everything else is a world of pain and will never be perfect.A slice of color…

Only if it supports simple playback controls too.
I always wanted a remote control, its just cool to walk to the scree in-front of clients and do some small tweaks.
But it will stay a toy, not a tool.

Hi there,
I have to admit, this is one of the less useful things in Resolve.
Of course the folder is there, its the output folder one defined 🙂
But in the age of rendering ProRes, this message pops up almost every time.
I wonder if it would be possible to check the files, not the folders.
This it especially crucial when using the pre and suffix things, rendering in source mode and so on.
Scratch actually has a wonderful way of checking the content you rendered already, it will automatically determine where to continue a stopped render and lets you play and bin the results if you like.
The naming on the other hand is quite cryptic, so the best of two worlds would be nice.A slice of color…

Hmmm…wait a minute…
Its very loud from startup ?
That indicates OSX cant control the card.
I had the issue with the 470 on Snow Leopard before I spliced in the Quadro drivers.The only way to find out, no wait, there is two, is to run either the Resolve benchmark I designed or just the simple Cuda-Z app.
Here the benchmark, you need to replace the file in question with yours, found in the installer.

This one should show around 600 GFlops or more for the Q4000

GTX570 = 1300Resolve should run just fine with a node or two on the Radeon I guess.

All four windows store shape keys just fine.
They also store on off keys, which might be tricky sometimes when turning it on in the middle and wondering why its not active in the beginning.
But try as the manual says :
Switch to your node animation with All,Color,PTZR
go to a frame you like, start dynamic
go to another frame, start dynamic again (why not add keyframe to existing dynamic ??? anyway…)
do some shape changes on the corner points
