Yes, i had the same problem here and there.
I happens when you have two keys , cut the clip and place a third one then in the middle , for example.
That is one of the reasons why we need a proper keyframe editor.
We all make dumb mistakes but it would be good to look at it after and be able to fix it.
If the situation here occurs i tend to break the shot and just add a dissolve between the two grading points.
Which has way more control and you don’t have to worry about any keyframes 🙂Resolve 11.2 – Smoke 2015 EXT1SP2 – Sapphire 8

February 9, 2015 at 8:36 am in reply to: Grade difference within and outside Resolve, why? These settings should change according to the project I suggest.
It does not really help that Resolve has this “auto” feature, that is like judging fields on AVID (which is impossible)
And if auto IS in effect, at least in the delivery dialogue it should tell one what it’s going to be.
The option to work with or render either unlimited data or limited video is great, it just makes it hard to really get what ones needs.Resolve 11.2 – Smoke 2015 EXT1SP2 – Sapphire 8

I need to add this is on Mountain Lion and an old MacPro of course.
At the home office i could not reproduce the problem with a nMP (which of course has more video RAM)
The projects are standard HD 1920×1080 50i which worked fine in 11.1.3Resolve 11.2 – Smoke 2015 EXT1SP2 – Sapphire 8

What about uploading one file to WeTransfer so we all can give it a try ?
I have a nMP here and can test it right away from the internal 1000 mb/s flash drive and an old MP with a lot of CUDA powerA slice of color…

Nope, that is a aim-fire-forget setting…
It is actually been executed as soon as you press the button.
I agree if this could be an interactive setting it would be very helpful.A slice of color…

It’s terrible 🙂
That is because that format is a pure capture format.
Please transcode to something your editor can work with and you can grade on.

January 29, 2015 at 5:52 pm in reply to: Can Resolve Not Store a Record of Stabilisation “Strong” and “Smooth” Settings?Well, whenever I do stabilisation on shots , i make a copy of the shot to a new layer.
Then I add a black out mask to hide the areas it should not use for tracking.
Kinda like faking a region of interest.
Then I render this to a new compound clip.
After that I am stabilising the shot and play with Strength and Smoothness until it looks decent.
Then I copy this tracking info to the source layer and thats basically it.
On a new shot I would go through the same process with different settings.
I do not know if I understood your question correctly, but I never had settings jumping to other shots if they have been dedicated local versions.A slice of color…

January 29, 2015 at 10:08 am in reply to: Can Resolve Not Store a Record of Stabilisation “Strong” and “Smooth” Settings?Hi Scott,
sounds like you are using multiple instances of the same clip instead of a localised version.
Did you try to change the grading and notice it also changes that for the other clip ?
And if so, did you spend some time reading the manual or watching one of the excellent fxPHD courses available ?
In every post you make you are complaining about processes you actually seem to mix up with the way other software is handling things.
I understand Resolve may seem a little different coming from Adobe but it might be worth opening up to the way Resolve does things.
And yes, I also tend to go back to MochaPro or Smoke for some more compositing like operations but only if i need to.
Most of the time i find the Resolve tool much more speedy and interactive.Cheers
