Yes, loading and saving times are insane.
A project with 1500 shots, 2-3 versions each and around 6 nodes takes 3 minutes to load…and save.
I and not doing projects with more than 500 shots not.
Thats reel, or less.I think the way information is saved could be optimized.
in my world you only need an increment save during an autosave process.
Only a full project save should rewrite everything.
Then autosave could be done in background and not interupt your workflow.A slice of color…

Sure, I agree one should not join Facebook to get software update notifications.
The official Blackmagic Forum would be the preferred place for that.
Normally when I check their homepage, and I do that frequently because I hope for new products and stuff, I find those updates announced.
The fact that 90% of BMD users hang around at the Cow makes it easy to find, but still its a third party place.
But i dont think one can expect a personal notification if the software is not distribuited via the appstore for example.
It would require them to check your system and push information which I find intrusive.

Interesting you are getting 30 fps in a 24fps project.

Well, its certainly a bug, but i have made a new session and its there too.
When changing the input sizing to another scale method it seems to work.
Center crop sometimes looks like the tracking image is three times bigger than the timeline.
I can see the movement follow the actors face, but extrapolated.A slice of color…

Are you looking on the GUI ? For colors ???
I have mine set to the dimmest setting I can get using nVidia tools and Dreamcolor settings.
I agree it’s disturbing, but as a general thing in a dark room, not because of the icons.
But let’s extend the feature request for a dimable UI with the option for a monochrome one ( like Scratch offers )A slice of color…
