September 27, 2012 at 11:57 amSomething has indeed changed.
I tracked something I tracked yesterday. I struggled a bit to get it right now, compared to yesterday when this was a one-button-operation.
Here’s a screenshot for comparison. Nothing was adjusted. I simply hit the “Track forward” button on the already tracked window.

I’m having a hard time tracking other, really basic things, too.

September 27, 2012 at 12:38 pmYeah Tracking not working well for me – having to manually keyframe a shot i was able to just auto track in v9beta3 or V8.

September 27, 2012 at 1:14 pmHi,
I just checked this here, and I didn’t see any problems immediately.
Can you provide some more details:
1. Does it happen on clips of a specific resolution? (Does it happen with HD files, HD timeline resolution)
2. Can you confirm the same project works ok in 9.0, but not in 9.0.1?Thanks,

September 27, 2012 at 1:22 pm1. HD (1080p)
2. I started the project in 9.0 – updated early this morning and the tracker seems to be a bit less sticky compared to 9.0. Not that it’s doing an insanely bad job, just not completely like it was in 9.0 -

September 27, 2012 at 1:41 pmHmmm there have been no changes in that area. Are you able to re-install the 9.0 version to check against the same project and same window position preferably.
The DB is same version so you should be able to go back and forth.

September 27, 2012 at 2:55 pmi tried on a 9.0 project which i had to make few changes and a few new replaced shots the shot didnt have any windows before but when i added a window after upgrading to 9.0.1 i found that the window is not tracking correctly (way off for me) this shot was a simple shot to track and i tried by even keying and tracking the portion (which i do sometimes for a better track) but no luck.
mine is a linux resolve(9.01) and i have been on the machine since version 7 with the new panels i have never have seen this happen before.

project is 1920*1080psf ,square pixel ,input scaling – center crop with no resizing
output scaling – center crop with no resizing
monitor out -1920*1080sfafter playing around for a while i have noticed this problem is present in only sessions upgraded from previous version 9.0 and not on new projects created on 9.01 is it a bug????

September 27, 2012 at 4:45 pmWell, its certainly a bug, but i have made a new session and its there too.
When changing the input sizing to another scale method it seems to work.
Center crop sometimes looks like the tracking image is three times bigger than the timeline.
I can see the movement follow the actors face, but extrapolated.A slice of color…
