September 26, 2012 at 1:05 pm in reply to: Multiple deliveries with different data burn-insFirst we need to agree that if you wanna render three different outputs, your render times triple.
Given that fact, I suggest to make an IT-Version (Clean)
Then make a new project , import your clean output and add your burn ins on a clip level.
We are doing this also to render out for different aspects, color spaces and frame rates.
And if you get a grading change, you just change it in the master output and rerender the variations without to much hassle.A slice of color…

I would definitely spend the 1000 they ask for used ones on the Element Balls and do the rest with the pen.
And then with the next job get the transport panel and then later the two small ones together.
It’s like three times better…all of themA slice of color…

September 26, 2012 at 6:15 am in reply to: Workaround for requiring different R3D decode settings for same clip in timeline?Well, i generally convert my Red to Rec709/Redlogfilm and take it from there.
But if you want to keep it native, the no brainier is duplicating the file on a disk level and work with both.A slice of color…

The conclusion is correct, the test itself does not go to much in depth.
Who used only three nodes ?
I designed this one to work with single CPU card solutions up to the biggest multi GPU system.
And you can run it yourself 🙂A slice of color…

September 24, 2012 at 1:53 pm in reply to: REEL-TIME: Where to start to get real-time in Resolve? You can Test your disk speed , but I think you will get around 350 easy .
Your CPU is fine, more memory is good but doesn’t change much.
You need one or more powerful GPU boards.
A cheap GTX 470 will double what you have now.
A powerful 580 will triple it .
4 580 GTX will give you 12 ! times more power .
It’s totally scalable , you decide according to you budget .
Without at least one 580 or three Quadro 4000 in a Zcubix professional grading is hardly possible.A slice of color…

I haven’t tested it but I see it as mandatory to either keep metadata intact or provide an option to alter it.
If it just disappeared , we have a feature request.A slice of color…
