I can only say that the Element is the nicest <10.000 panel i used extensively in production.
If I would be on a super small budget I would only get the BK part and never again a Wave.
The buttons are sooo limited on the wave that you spent an extensive part of your time navigating menues and such loses its value.
Not to mention the FisherPrice look and feel.
The Artist Panel features this very flaky (for some) ethernet connection and the Chinese one is vapour ware at this point.
With the Element you can open a car door, the rings are as smooth as on a Blackboard, the balls are easy to maintain.
I am not using my TS panel much, buttons and potis are useful but not mandatory.
So start with the BK, and add either the transport or the two small ones at will.A slice of color…

All of the high end houses I had the pleasure to work with are using EXR files.
Depending on the NAS SAN systems they choose different flavours, but EXR is the way to go.
At one project we were able to generate floating point LUTlike data generated in pre-grade sessions, supplied the 3D and compositing pipeline with them, used the full linear data for the VFX and preview pipelines and afterwards inverted the colour changes to supply the final colour grading service with images that were identical to the film scans, just with VFX.
A lot of work, if the budget is there, everything is possible 🙂A slice of color…

Might be a problem with your cache filesystem.
Resolve is actually writing a new image the moment you want to execute that action.
So please make your your first entry in the “Media storage ” list is a folder your user, Resolve and the Database has writing access.A slice of color…

In the example in the picture you can see they forgot to take off the Arri Lut from Avid, so thats why i thought i could just the version 02 and replace the parts i needed replaced..A slice of color…

Minimal inversive , i’d say.
Best is to not use any outputs from degrading edit applications.
I tend to avoid that until i got a master-of-desaster editor that went crazy with effects, time-changes and stuff he wants in anyway.
In all other cases try to grade from the source files.
But if they did the edit in Log-C and did scaling only the loss is acceptableA slice of color…

It was very clear in his video that he was not right clicking the (very small) timeline window.
Now in R11 its a whole new tab which is hard to miss.
That kinda clears the mist 🙂A slice of color…
