November 13, 2017 at 8:23 pm in reply to: How to export list of clip names and runtime?

    Hello,

Its seems that export of batch list is no longer an option in PR CC 2018. I used this function all the time to create spreadsheet logs of my clips. Not sure why it was taken out (unless it’s hidden deep somewhere else).

    Just an FYI.

One option, in response to the first question, is you could drop all the clips one after the other in a sequence and then export an EDL. Excel can open EDL files and it has TC in/out and durations. The formatting isn’t great but it’s all there.

I also had this problem recently. I believe it’s because wav files aren’t natively supposed to be larger than 4GB. The larger file sizes are allowed due to a workaround. However, I’ve been unable to import these into PP. I ended up breaking the file into shorter durations in Audition and stitching them back together – a process that seems unnecessary in this day and age.

  • You may be out of visible range in Particular.

Check under Particular’s “Visibility” section and try adjust the near and far vanish points. the camera tracker can make some pretty far away reference points…

February 11, 2016 at 9:12 pm in reply to: Fake 90’s pulldown effect?

You could take your 24p clip and render it out inserting pulldown pattern in the render settings (the resulting clip will become 29.97). This will give you a file with 3 whole frames followed by 2 split field frames. This might not be what you want because you’re introduciing fields into your footage.

you might have better luck playing around with precomps and timewarp, time stretch, or twixtor, etc. to get the feel you want without introducing fields

  • You can also hit CTRL + Up Arrow or Down Arrow to select the next layer above or below. If you hold Shift + Control + Up (or Down arrow) you can select multiple layers.

Not a direct path to layer 87 but might help.

    Hi,

Right click on the layer you want “ignored” and define it as a “Guide layer”. Any guide layer will not be rendered.

If you have Trapcode Form you can replicate that look pretty easily using the audio react feature.

I created a project as you described in CC 2014 (2014.2) and was able to play it fine without any error.

However, I took the same project file and opened it up in CC 2015 (2015.0.1 – updated today) and got an error as soon as I opened the project:

The project does play but stops when the offset value hits the -47.5 value. If i add a keyframe there and drag that to the end I can play the project without error.

So yes, it seems there’s an issue with the offset parameter.

I got no errors in 2014, though.

  • Glad this process worked. Joe’s is good too – lots of ways to skin a cat in AE.

If you add a stroke (or thicken the existing text stroke)to the track matte layer only that should get rid of that white halo you’re talking about. You could also try a matte choker (with a negative value) if it’s not too extreme.

    Good luck!

  • If I follow, you could create your text, duplicate the text layer, set the layer below the duplicate to track matte alpha invert and then add the drop shadow effect to this layer
