    Hi Ludmil,

Depends on how much you need the machine to render and the format of the footage you’re using. The higher the resolution and bitdepth the more processing power you need to do it quickly.

Waiting for your machine costs you money and time. The quicker you’re done the more time you save. 1000,- seems a lot but is quickly returned to your pocket depending on the above.

Coincidentally yes. I’ve recently worked wirh 2013 imac’s with similar specs on a sportsevent editing 1080p content.

Worked fine. Responsiveness will depend on the codec, but you can always create proxies ofcourse.

    Happy editing 🙂

Have you tried selecting the source material and used the option to detache proxies?

Another workaround could be to ‘copy’ the sequences from which the material you need consolidated and paste it in a new project.

  • I’ve come across a similar problem recently. What worked for me is switching openGL to software encoder(bottom of your export list in m.e.). Depending on your system and timeline this could take a lot longer but it did the job.

    Hope it helps,

Did you check if the footage is shot at 100fps in a 100fps container?

Could be it is 100 fps in a 24fps container.

Check the metadata outside of premiere like in the Red grading application, the name slipped my mind.

    Hope it helps,

  • Hi Jim,

Much depends on the codec and resolution of your material. Your videocard is also a bit underpowered, though that’s probably not the issue here.

Before editing your material it’s always best to create (proress) proxy’s of everything after you import into premiere. They are lighter on your cpu and increase stability. Google about the workflow.

    Hope it helps,

  • Hi Sean, I honestly don’t know what accounts for the time difference. You could do a check by exporting one and the other and see if there still is a difference.

The usefulness of this feature comes when your mic’s are slightly out of fase or when you need the cut in your music to line up perfectly. Go into the millisecond feature to allign and out to lock it to the fps.

    Hope it helps,

    Press control(win) and drag

  • A workaround might be to change container, clip by clip to pro res or dnh (or create a proxy batch) to see if it’s a single clip that gives you the problem.

If not; explode from multicam to multitrack

    Still?; remove effects

Then; export xml to see if davinci will do it

Work your way backwards would be my advice.

    Good luck! 🙏
