    Hi,

Wondering if anyone could help with a project manager problem I am having. I am trying to move all files etc into one folder using project manager, however I have some proxy files that can no longer be found on my computer (may have accidentally been deleted) this is stopping project manager moving all other files. Is there any way of transfering all files to a single folder without the proxy files? Without the missing proxies it will not transfer anything over.

Any ideas on this would be a great help.

Haven’t actually tried it but if you have the full name of each missing file, duplicate any proxy of the same file type and rename it. Of course that won’t help if you actually need the proxies but it should continue the process.

Have you tried selecting the source material and used the option to detache proxies?

Another workaround could be to ‘copy’ the sequences from which the material you need consolidated and paste it in a new project.

    Hi !

If you have troubles with the Project Manager, you can use PlumePack, it’s a third party plugin for Premiere Pro which can do the “Collect & Copy” for FREE. You should not have any errors, proxies will not be copied but more than that, the media structure will follow your project structure (I mean how you put your media into PrPro “bins” in the Project Panel).

You will also have a good report + analysis about what PlumePack will do to your project !

The Premium License of PlumePack is for Lossless trimming (= without re-encoding). It saves you disk space by removing usused frames, but keep your files exact same quality (no encoding), same codec, same metadata !
