Sometimes I orginize by day and sometimes by subject. It depends on whether I am editing a story that was shot in sequence of if I have to create something from several different sources and times to make a certain segement. It I do a travel video I organize my bins by date so I keep everything in order but if I need to make a story about nature I may organize by subject ie, birds, animals, scenery etc.
    Hope this helps.

Make sure your playhead is at the end of the last clip. The next clip will line up with the playhead.

Hmm, personally I think that HQ is overkill and adding a lot of render time. However if you have the time it won’t hurt anything that I can see. Good Luck!

You should not have taken a quality hit using LT. I have used it several times and could not tell the diffence from the original. Remember that the EX-3 records at 35 mbps whereas Prores LT handles upto 102 mbps. No worries!

Porta Brace makes some very good carry on size bags that fit the -3. I have one and have taken it on several airlines including to Europe and never had a problem. I have had to take it out of the case at security to show it worked a time or two though. Good luck.

Go to your menu and turn on the wind filter for both channels. That will help but you still may need a wind sock of some sort. You might be able to make your own.

The easiest way to delete keyframes is to click on them and drag them out of the timeline. Pooof, gone!

  • In other words, disconnect the audio tracks by clicking on the icons at the left side of the track so they do not connect. Then your audio will not come down to the timeline with the video.
